The DS2 card printer is a higher level card printer. Meaning that it can be used to print cards for a bigger company. 
You can print a lot of cards from this desktop card printer right from the comfort of your office or home. 
These are great:

  • Membership cards for gyms or grocery stores
  • Employee ID's

This easy to use card printer is available in two versions:

  1. The simplex version (single-sided card printing). You have to manually flip the card over every time it prints.
  2. The duplex version (two-sided card printing). You can print your cards on both sides without having to flip the card over manually every time.

Including security features:

  1. Magnetic stripe encoding.
  2. Smart card encoding.

Additional security features have been placed on your card printer to protect your cards from being tampered with by thieves and hackers.

The DS2 printers produce highly secure ID cards. Counterfeiting is impossible with this special feature.

15. How to use a cleaning card & swab

This video will explain how to thoroughly clean your printer to ensure the quality of your Sigma is maintained and it does not break.

Please clean your printer with a cleaning card & swab after:

1. The print ribbon is changed.

2. You have printed 250 cards.

3. The quality of your card has diminished (there are lines or dirt on your card after printing).

Please refer back to the (changing defaults in printer video) to see how to change the number of cards until you need to insert a cleaning card or cleaning swab. This is vital for the health of your printer so that it does not get damaged or break easily.

NB: Please discard used cleaning card or swab after use.
